I’m heading the pediatric emergency and intensive care of Kim’s Trivandrum appendicitis or you can say they come
with severe pain so pain abdomen is one of the commonest complaints by which a
child comes to emergency if they come with severe fever vomiting and abdominal
pain it’s very easy to diagnose up appendicitis this because you just have to
touch on the right side lower part of the abdomen and a child winces in pain
you have some blood test following that you know okay the counts are very high
and you diagnose acute appendicitis it’s one of the commonest surgical emergency
in children which comes to the ER it is how serious it is for the child it is
very much distressing because the pain is too much so you have to give some pain
relieving measures so passed more suppository or some pain a painkiller
will help the child but the same time you have to stop the fever as well as
you start the antibiotics and then you have to do then you have to get an
ultrasound done to make sure whether you have to go ahead with an immediate
surgery or you can wait for some time and the go ahead recession it’s a
serious thing if it is a difficult part where it is already missed and the child
comes with an appendicular abscess so if the appendix diagnosis is missed and it
is delayed there are up to disrupter and it can cause a very big
abscess then you have to go in for a full open abdomen surgery so it has got
to be very careful even though it is a very common one it can be very serious
