The digestive system – school project

Whats your favorite food? Apples, whats yours?
Bananas. It feels good in my tummy. And it comes out, as poop. The scientific word for
poop, is feces! Digestive girl! No it isn’t! Lies! Yes it is, I looked it up! But how does
it work? Well, so it all starts in the mouth. The teeth grind up the food, and then the
saliva softens it a bit. Then it goes down the esophagus, and the throat. The stomach
digests it, and it turns it into liquid. It goes into the small intestine, in which the
nutrients are provided throughout the body. And the large intestine separates the good
stuff, and the bad stuff, and the bad stuff. Goes out the anus. Feces. Not poop. Theres
a difference. But theres not a diff-. Sh! Bu-. Sh! Bu-. But whats the point of it. Well
the point is that, you need nutrients for your body. And the nutrients gives you energy,
and all the…its good for you! What does the system look like? It all starts in the
mouth. It then goes into the throat and esophagus, which goes down into the stomach. The stomach
moves into the small intestine, which goes into the large intestine. It then goes out
the anus. This diagram shows exactly how they become the other in the human body. This has
been a – digestive girl! – production.
