Can My Doctor Authorise The Digestive Stool Analysis For Me?

Greetings, greetings, greetings. A question I’m regularly asked by people is
can my doctor authorize a test, a digestive stool analysis test. Can my doctor just give me this test? Can I do it through my medical doctor? Most likely not. Your medical doctor will not have had the
training in this area and will most likely not support it. Your doctor may not be sympathetic to this
kind of test at all. Your doctor may even refute the test saying
it’s not warranted, it’s not required, it’s unnecessary. Dah, dah, dah, dah, dah. I’ve heard it all before. Don’t worry about what the doctor says. Doctors aren’t always right. If you want to do a stool test, you can do
it on your own beck or you can work through a naturopath or you can work through a functional
medicine doctor. So this is someone like me, but however someone
who’s had Western medicine training so they’re a medical doctor and they’ve had some level
of naturopathic training, often courses. They’ll join associations where they’ll do
workshops or courses. There are quite established courses around
the world for integrative doctors or functional medicine doctors. These doctors totally understand where I’m
coming from. I’ve got many doctor friends like this who
are amazing people, who ladies and gentleman have known for a long time now, with incredible
skill sets. So Western medicine is a fantastic ally to
use in conjunction with the kind of work we do. It’s just a shame that we’ve got straight
medical doctors here and the naturopaths here, and we’ve got some guys in the middle. It’s almost like we’ve got the meat eaters
here and we’ve got the vegans here, and they’re always spitting at each other. It shouldn’t be like that, all right? So the best medical approach, in my opinion,
is to go in the middle or the lady in the middle who offers Western medical science
plus natural intervention as a first option. This is where medicine should be, folks. But unfortunately through politics and the
way the system’s set up, it doesn’t look like it’s going to go that way in a hurry. So most likely, your conventional medical
doctor will not have an interest in these tests. So you’ll need to go outside of the box and
go somewhere else and seek that kind of help. There’s no point in trying to bring reports
to medical doctors with no training in the area. So let them do their thing. If you want stuff beyond what they offer,
then you can go and get that privately. But there’s some insurance companies that
will obviously pay for these functional tests. Many won’t, but some will. That might be something that you may want
to think about too with health insurance is who you’re paying your money to and what do
they offer. So there you have it. Your conventional medical doctor will likely
not support this test. But you will find this test around through
a functional medicine doctor or a naturopath. Or you can approach it yourself. You can also go straight to direct labs. There’s a link under here that you can click
onto, and you can organize a stool test yourself. You don’t even need to see a doctor if you
don’t want to. Thanks for tuning in.
